  • Kappa Epsilon Recognized
    The work of the Kappa Epsilon service sorority was recognized for its years of service to the Clinic. Members have provided thousands of hours of time to file applications for donated medications from pharmaceutical companies. KE along with 4 other groups from UMKC were named to the first United States President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Role.

  • National Kidney Foundation Recognizes Clinic
    The Jackson County Free Health Clinic was recently given a letter of commendation for the work of early detection and prevention of kidney disease in high risk populations.

  • Regional Health Care Initiative
    Dr. McCandless is participating in a strategic planning group to address issues in the Metro facing the uninsured. This project is to work to increase access to prevention, primary care and specialty services to vulnerable populations. Learn more about the initiative

  • Those with chronic medical illness (e.g. Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Asthma)
  • Adults over the age of 18
  • Patients without health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid
  • Limited Income
